Terry Lahman
Founder of eForensicsPro
Terry Lahman is a digital forensics analyst (DFA) and licensed private investigator working primarily with law firms and businesses requiring the preservation, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence. While based in Washington State, his work extends across all fifty states and US Territories. Terry has an expertise in peer-to-peer file sharing networks and has presented on this topic at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers conference.
Terry’s background brings an uncanny ability to analyze data and identify anomalies. Prior to establishing eForensicsPro in 2011, Terry was employed for 17 years by Microsoft Corporation as a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test, and has extensive knowledge in file systems and operating systems. His background in electronics and ham radios adds a unique understanding of radio communications, including call detail records and GPS and cell phone geo-location analysis.
Terry was employed for 17 years by Microsoft Corporation as Principal Software Development Engineer in Test. Prior to working for Microsoft, Terry was a software engineer for Three D Graphics, providing developer support to OEM accounts such as Corel Chart!, Crystal Reports, and Symantec, and a software engineer and customer service manager for Dataproducts Corporation.
In the early 1990s, Terry wrote two pioneering software programs: one of the first remote computer access programs, and a later one featuring remote file transfer ability. He authored and co-authored articles about this topic for PC Magazine.
In 2001, Terry received the Microsoft Achievement Award, a very rare (and unpublicized) honor bestowed on individuals who achieve exceptionally high employee performance ratings over a period of seven contiguous years.
Today, through eForensicsPro, Terry is raising the standards of the digital forensics analysis industry by performing his work at the highest levels of skill and ethics possible and by teaching and training others to do the same.
