About Terry Lahman

TerryTerry Lahman, founder of eForensicsPro, is a digital forensics analyst (DFA) and licensed private investigator based in Washington State. He works primarily with companies of 100 to 2,000 employees and with law firms of all types requiring the preservation, analysis and presentation of electronic evidence. Terry also helps private individuals seeking to recover or access seemingly lost electronic information stored on computers and other digital devices.

Prior to establishing eForensicsPro, Terry was employed for 17 years by Microsoft Corporation. As Principal Software Development Engineer/Test, he specialized in researching and perfecting suboptimal engineering and build processes. He has an uncanny ability to analyze data and identify anomalies in software and engineering processes.

In his earlier Microsoft position as Principal Test Manager, Terry was responsible for ensuring the faultless operation of numerous software products, including Asset Inventory Service, Sharepoint, Windows 2000 Print and Imaging, Windows NT 4 Terminal Services Edition, and others. In this capacity, he hired and managed multiple engineering teams ranging in size from five to 140 individuals; designed automated testing systems; and developed and conducted training programs for industry conferences and symposiums, as well as for staff engineers.

Prior to working for Microsoft, Terry was a software engineer for Three D Graphics, providing developer support to OEM accounts such as Corel Chart!, Crystal Reports, and Symantec, and a software engineer and customer service manager for Dataproducts Corporation.

In the early 1990s, Terry wrote two pioneering software programs: one of the first remote computer access programs, and a later one featuring remote file transfer ability. He authored and co-authored articles about them for PC Magazine.

In 2001, Terry received the Microsoft Achievement Award, a very rare (and unpublicized) honor bestowed on individuals who achieve exceptionally high employee performance ratings over a period of seven contiguous years.

Today, through eForensicsPro, Terry is raising the standards of the digital forensics analysis industry by performing his work at the highest levels of skill and ethics possible and by teaching and training others to do the same.
